Loosely based on the 1844 novel The Count Of Monte Cristo and set during the Covid crisis of the early 2020s. A series of strange murders at first seem unrelated, until a small-town detective follows a single clue that links several of them. Realizing there’s a serial killer at large, he contacts the FBI for assistance and partners with a newly-promoted agent.
